Our Blessed Lady's Saturday
Prayer of St. Gertrude the Great
Hail, White Lily, of the ever-peaceful and glorious Trinity!
Hail, Vermilion Rose, the delight of Heaven, of whom the King of Heaven was born and by whose milk He was nourished! Do thou feed our souls with the effusions of thy Divine influences.

Friday At the Foot Of the Cross
A Prayer to be Merciful Help me, O Lord, that my eyes may be merciful, so that I may never suspect or judge from appearances, but look for what is beautiful in my neighbor's soul. Help me, O Lord, that my ears may be merciful, so that I may give heed to my neighbor's needs. Help me, O Lord, that my tongue may be merciful, so that I should never speak ill of my neighbor. Help me, O Lord, that my hands may be merciful and filled with good deeds, so that I may do only good to my neighbor. Help me, O Lord, that my feet may be merciful, so that I may hurry to assist my neighbor. Help me, O Lord, that my heart may be merciful, so that I myself may feel all the sufferings of my neighbor. May Thy mercy, O Lord, rest upon me. Amen.

Saint George
Saint George was a Roman soldier and confessed Catholic who was martyred in the early 300s during the reign of the Emperor Diocletian. Saint George is a particular patron of mine, being the patron of England, soldiers, and of men named George. I have an excellent array of name-saint patrons: George, Thomas the Apostle, and John the Evangelist.
The Fifth Regiment of Foot was entitled to wear an image of St. George and the Dragon on its Colours and other accoutrements.
The Cross of St. George is standard for Episcopalian churches in the US
I particularly like the armed saints, like St. Juan de Capistrano, Saint James the Moor-Slayer, St. Michael the Archangel, St. George, and St. Martin of Tours.
